I've been at this drumming thing since November 12, 1997....at 6:30pm to be exact....I remember the day and time for one very good reason; it was the moment I really discovered my true passion in life. Whenever I get asked about how I started or where all this came from, it really stems from my good friend Justin Schmedeke asking me to drum. I remember never really being into music until he started learning guitar and we got really big into 311 and Korn. It's funny because as that first drum lesson happened it was almost as if my whole internal vision was clear and I knew what to do. Years later I look back since that day and see so many other things I've done. I've gone to college, the one thing I knew was never a passion, I've worked numerous jobs all just to get by. But as I sit here and type this and reflect it is clear to me that the labor of love for your passion cannot be matched. Additionally, the old addage of "if you do what you love you'll never work a day in your life" is compeltely true, atleast to me. I'm going to continue to work as hard as I can to make this ALL I do to support myself and future family. To me, that is the best example one could set for a family, follow your dreams and let your passion shine a light on the world and your loved ones. I love this.
